Arsenal fans react as William Saliba suffers cracked metatarsal
Arsenal fans have reacted to the news that defender William Saliba has suffered a crack of the metatarsal.
The £27 million summer signing (BBC Sport) is spending the 2019/20 season on loan at Saint-Etienne as per the terms of the deal the Gunners struck with the French outfit.

Saliba started off the season injured, but recently returned to transform the club’s fortunes on the pitch.
He had been in fine form, but Claude Puel has confirmed via the club’s official website that the talented 18-year-old has suffered a crack of the fifth metatarsal bone after the weekend clash with AS Monaco.
He is now set for a ‘lengthy’ spell on the sidelines (The Sun), which will come as a big blow to Saint-Etienne, but also to Arsenal who want to see him continue his development ahead of his arrival at the club in 2020.

News of Saliba’s injury has compounded Arsenal fans’ misery, after seeing their side draw with Vitoria in the Europa League, with Dani Ceballos coming off with an injury of his own.
Arsenal fans react
Many Arsenal fans were left cursing their luck on Twitter.
Although Saliba’s injury doesn’t directly impact the Gunners, it is obviously a frustration given he is their player and that he will now not have the chance to continue his excellent form and progression:
Yup he is definitely an arsenal player
