Arsenal fans react as Wenger throws his hat into the ring amid takeover rumours

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to praise former manager Arsene Wenger following his comments on a potential takeover of the north London club.

Speaking last night on BeIN Sports via Get French Football News, the Arsenal legend admitted that he would be happy to help the club following news from The Telegraph that Spotify owner Daniel Ek is plotting a bid to buy the club from KSE, with Wenger saying: “The best deals are the ones where you come out and nobody knows about it and it is done. If I can help Arsenal, I will.”

Ek has been joined by Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieria in his attempt to buy Arsenal, and for supporters on social media, they were delighted that Wenger is also eager to help the effort following a mass protest on Friday night against the club’s owner, Stan Kroenke.

Wenger is currently working for FIFA as their Chief of Global Football Development after leaving Arsenal in 2018 after nearly 22 years with the club.
