Arsenal lost 2-1 to French outfit Lyon in the Emirates Cup yesterday, in front of Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, according to the Metro.
The German midfielder, who won the Champions League in 2014 with Real Madrid was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium but saw the Gunners slip to defeat.
Unai Emery said of Khedira: “Khedira is a very good player but this is the first time I have heard his name mentioned.”
And some Arsenal fans took to Twitter to discuss the merits of bringing the experienced German to the Emirates Stadium ahead of next season.

Some supporters want him signed as an experienced alternative in defensive midfield, feeling that his winning mentality and history of winning trophies may help the squad.
But others feel that he is now too far past his best to be any use to Emery and want arrivals to be focused on other areas of the pitch.
In truth, it doesn’t look as if Khedira is close to coming the north London – although Juventus do seem set to try and make some offloads this summer to fund new arrivals – and the verdict is very split on whether he would be a good signing…
