Arsenal have announced the departure of youngster Sam Greenwood this morning, with the striker penning terms at Premier League rivals Leeds United.
The Gunners broke the news on their official website and it’s been met with a degree of disappointment by the club’s supporters.
Greenwood joined Arsenal from Sunderland in July 2018 and scored 10 times during his maiden season with the club’s under-18 ranks.
After signing a professional contract a year later he went onto score six goals in 22 appearances for the Arsenal under-23s last season.

Greenwood joins several other youngsters in penning terms at Elland Road this summer. The Whites have already added Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Allen, Cody Drameh and Dani van den Heuvel.
The 18-year-old talisman has been capped by England at various youth levels, scoring 12 goals in 14 games for the under-17s.
Following his departure, Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to show their disappointment at the club sanctioning his move to Leeds.
Plenty feel he was capable of making the step up and would have liked to have seen him given more time to develop at the Emirates Stadium.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Arsenal faithful as Greenwood heads north to Elland Road.
