Arsenal fans react as Roma eye Lucas Torreira loan

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Calciomercato.It claiming that Roma could consider a loan move for Lucas Torreira.

Of course, Roma and Arsenal have been involved with one another for much of the summer.

The Giallorossi agreed personal terms with Granit Xhaka before the midfielder ended up staying at the Emirates.

And it seems that the Serie A side could now target another Arsenal midfielder before the deadline passes.

Calciomercato.It reports that Roma could consider making a loan bid for Torreira. It is noted that he earns around £74,000-a-week at the Emirates.

It does appear unlikely that Torreira will feature for the Gunners again – particularly while Mikel Arteta remains in charge.

So his departure would hand Arsenal a boost, even if they can only agree a loan move for the Uruguay international.

Nevertheless, it appears that the Arsenal fans are not best pleased to hear that Roma want Torreira.

Some have also joked that Torreira is probably going to end up signing a new contract at the Emirates, just as the Swiss reportedly has.
