Arsenal supporters have reacted to a report that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will seek an exit from the club next summer.

According to The Times, the Gabon striker will attempt to leave at the end of the season if the club are not amongst the Champions League places.

Given their current league position of 12th, it is highly unlikely they will be finishing in the top four in 2019/20.

Apparently Aubameyang has told the club of his desire to win trophies and to play in the Champions League.

The Gunners had recently hoped to get their talisman signed up to a new contract, but the 30-year-old has been stalling.

Aubameyang has been a revelation in terms of goalscoring since joining the club in January 2018.

The £56 million signing from Borussia Dortmund (BBC Sport) has hit 56 goals in just 89 appearances for Arsenal.

Given the player’s age, there is a real possibility Aubameyang will feel as though time is running out in his career and so needs to consider if staying at the Emirates would help him realise his trophy ambitions.

Arsenal fans react

Although Arsenal fans love him for what he has done, quite a few seem to be open to losing their current club captain, and some simply can’t blame him for possibly wanting to leave:
