Arsenal fans react as report claims Lacazette could be sold for a bargain figure

Arsenal could reportedly decide against extending Alexandre Lacazette’s contract, which would see him enter the last 12 months of his contract this summer – and Arsenal fans have reacted to the potential figure the report claims they could sell him for.

Lacazette, 29, has been in excellent form of late. With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggling for form, Lacazette has taken on the mantle of scoring goals and netted a brace against Sheffield United on Sunday. He has 15 goals in 37 games this season.

The Telegraph claims that Arsenal are looking to raid Celtic for Odsonne Edouard this summer, but they will have to make room for the ex-Paris Saint-Germain striker – and Lacazette could be the one to make way, especially if they do not extend his deal.

It is claimed that Lacazette will be sold for a figure between £15million and £20million – the same figure that it will take to sign Edouard. It means that Arsenal might lose £31.5million on Lacazette, given they bought him for £46.5million (BBC Sport).

Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the report that Lacazette could leave the club for a figure as small as £15million. Some not impressed at the potential evantuality – as they are of the belief he is worth more. Others just want him gone.
