Juventus will reportedly sell midfielder Emre Can in the January transfer window and Manchester United are keen on bringing the ex-Liverpool star to Old Trafford – but Arsenal fans are desperate to see their club sign the German.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Juve will allow 25-year-old Can leave the club in January, after playing just four times for Maurizio Sarri’s side this season. The signings of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot have pushed him down the pecking order.
The report claims that Manchester United are interested in signing the former Bayer Leverkusen man, but face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. It is believed Juve will let him leave the Old Lady for just £34million.
That figure is smaller than the release clause inserted in his contract, which stands at £43million. Since joining Juve on a free from Liverpool, Can has clocked up 41 appearances for the Italian champions – and scored four goals.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need additions in the middle of the park. The Gunners midfield has been heavily criticised this season, and now former captain Granit Xhaka looks set to leave the club in January – with Newcastle and AC Milan linked.
Arsenal supporters have reacted to the reported news that Juventus are willing to offload Can if offers of around £34million are tabled for the midfielder – and Gunners fans have urged their club to sign Can.
