Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson is being linked with a possible exit – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are not happy with the speculation.

CBS Sport claims that Arsenal are willing to receive offers for the 21-year-old at the end of the season.

It is explained that the Gunners need to make a decision on the attacker’s future with his contract at the Emirates Stadium entering its final two years in the summer.

Nelson has played just nine first-team games so far this season in all competitions, with the attacker far down the pecking order under manager Mikel Arteta.

The English wide player is competing alongside the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli for a position in the senior team’s XI.

He scored in a Europa League group stage match against Molde back in November, but has played just one first-team match in 2021.

The quick winger can play on either flank and lately he’s been getting minutes in the Under-23s team, scoring in back-to-back matches at youth level against Manchester United and Chelsea.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media believe that granting Nelson’s departure in the summer could be a big mistake and something they regret further down the line.

A couple of fans have used Serge Gnabry as a prime example, who was a fellow attacker to come out of the Arsenal academy and he’s gone on to be a sensation at Bayern Munich after the North London club let him go as a young player.
