Arsenal fans react as PSG eye Granit Xhaka

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Il Romanista claiming that PSG now want Granit Xhaka.

Xhaka is attracting a lot of attention, with the midfielder continuing to impress at Euro 2020 with Switzerland.

According to Il Romanista, he has agreed personal terms with Roma. That would involve signing a five-year deal with the Giallorossi.

However, the Serie A side are still working to agree a fee with Arsenal. And that has seemingly left the door open for a couple of European heavyweights.

Along with Juventus, PSG are also in the running for the 28-year-old. Of course, a move to Parc des Princes would see the Swiss link up with Mauricio Pochettino.

It is a surprise to see Xhaka linked with the Ligue 1 side. The midfielder has, obviously, not had the easiest time at the Emirates.

But for some, PSG’s interest is a sign that perhaps Arsenal may rue letting the £100,000-a-week star leave.

Most fans however, seem to see the latest reports as a real positive. With Roma unwilling to meet the Gunners’ asking price, the supporters hope PSG entering the running will spark a bidding war.

At the very least, it surely strengthens Arsenal’s case for Roma to meet his asking price.
