Arsenal fans react as Olivier Giroud is linked with Tottenham move

Arsenal fans have been reacting to surprise reports that former striker Olivier Giroud could be heading to their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Lilywhites are lining up a move for the Frenchman, with Harry Kane out injured potentially for the rest of the season.

Spurs have just two days remaining to do business, with Troy Parrott currently the only recognised number nine available to Jose Mourinho.

The club have been linked with a host of names over the past few weeks, but Giroud cropping up is definitely an eyebrow-raiser.

The Chelsea star, of course, spent five-and-a-half years as an Arsenal player, making a total of 253 appearances for the club.

He left the club to join the Blues in January 2018 for a reported fee of £18 million (BBC Sport), a move that upset a fair few Arsenal supporters.

Giroud angered many more when he was captured by Jorginho’s Instagram shouting ‘Thank you, Arsenal’ after the 2019 Europa League final on the team bus (Independent).
