Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos in the January transfer window – and Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the news.
Mavropanos, 22, joined Arsenal in January 2018 from Greek side PAS Giannina for £2.2million (Sun) but has failed to make an impact at The Emirates Stadium – clocking up just eight senior appearances in almost two years.
This season, the Greek youth international has managed just one senior appearance – seeing out the entire 90 minutes in the away 2-2 draw against Standard Liege in the Europa League. He has made 10 appearances for the Under-23 side.

Greek outlet Sporttime have claimed that both Championship side Nottingham Forest and Greek champions Olympiacos want to sign the defender. He has a contract at Arsenal – worth £25k-a-week (Spotrac) – until the summer of 2023.
The report claims that while Olympiacos are interested in signing Mavropanos, a loan move to Nottingham Forest in the January window looks much more likely for the Gunners defender.
Arsenal fans reacted to the reported news on Twitter, and the majority of Gunners supporters have urged Arsenal to allow the defender to leave – with many desperate to see him leave the club, even on a permanent basis.
