Arsenal supporters have taken to social media following a recent report from the Press Association that Norwich City defender Max Aarons has been given permission to leave the club this summer.
According to the report via BT Sport, the England U-21 international will be allowed to leave the Championship side in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Norwich claiming promotion back to the Premier League this month at their first attempt following relegation last year. The report states that Aarons could leave the Canaries for £30m.
A long-rumoured target for Arsenal, Goal report that the Gunners are admirers of the 21-year-old defender, who has enjoyed a third straight season as Norwich’s number one right-back, and on social media, supporters of the north London side are eager for the club to pursue the English youngster.
Here’s what some fans had to say about the transfer update to Aarons on Twitter, with a few supporters keen to see the defender join the club this summer…
He's an intelligent right back and not hyped or talked about enough, I still prefer him to Hakimi with the recent matches of Hakimi I've watched he's just an overhyped fast clueless right back
