Arsenal fans react as Napoli reportedly eye Kieran Tierney

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Telegraph claiming that Napoli have put Kieran Tierney back on their radar.

Tierney has established himself as one of the most important players within Mikel Arteta’s squad this season. The left-back has been outstanding for the Gunners.

He was one of the standout performers when Arsenal were struggling for form. And he has certainly been one of the players who has inspired the recent turnaround Arteta’s men have enjoyed.

His goal against West Brom arguably cemented his place as a leader in the current side. So perhaps, it should come as little surprise that he is reportedly attracting attention.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Napoli have identified Tierney as a long-term target. It is noted that they wanted the 23-year-old before his £25 million move to the Emirates.

The Telegraph even suggests that they are looking at possible loan targets in this window to fill the void before they pursue the youngster at some stage in the future.

It does appear that Napoli are incredibly interested in Tierney. And yet, Arsenal fans appear to be showing little concern about the reports.

‘Continue dreaming’

Arteta obviously does not need to be told how impressive the defender has been. And it would clearly be about as unpopular a decision as Arsenal could make if they decided to sell Tierney.

Astronomical figures are being suggested. And while it seems unlikely that Napoli will go anywhere near offering those sorts of fees, it highlights just how imperative the fans think it is that Tierney goes nowhere.
