Arsenal suffered a disappointing defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening as Jamie Vardy and James Maddison scored – and loanee Mo Elneny has posted on Twitter less than a day after the loss.
On-fire Vardy starred for Leicester as he scored and laid on an assist for playmaker Maddison, pushing The Foxes into an incredible second place after 12 league games. Arsenal, meanwhile, sit way down in sixth place, 17 points behind Liverpool.
The pressure remains on Spanish manager Unai Emery, but that did not seem to bother midfielder Elneny who is impressing on loan at Turkish giants Besiktas. Following a difficult start in Turkey, Elneny has rediscovered his touch.
Indeed, the Egyptian struggled to start with – being shown a straight red card on his league debut and missing the next three games. However, he has started and finished the last three games, helping Besiktas win all three. Elneny posted on Twitter.
3 games = 3 victories!! Well done boys! Great job …Thank you our fans for the amazing support 👏👏🦅🦅🦅 pic.twitter.com/7w6T4Vp0HS

Elneny has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, which saw Emery opt to allow him to leave in the summer. Indeed, the signing of Dani Ceballos has pushed the former FC Basel midfielder down the rankings.
It remains to be seen if Elneny has a future at Arsenal, with his £50,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) lasting until the summer of 2022. Arsenal fans have reacted to the £7.4million (Guardian) signing’s Tweet, with some urging the midfielder to return to north London.
The timing of the post 🤣
