Arsenal fans react as Mikel Arteta reportedly ready to offload Matteo Guendouzi
Arsenal are reportedly willing to listen to offers for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer with Mikel Arteta keen to cash in on the French midfielder due to issues over his attitude – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.
Guendouzi, 21, was caught throttling Brighton striker Neal Maupay after the Frenchman scored a late winner for Brighton during Saturday’s 2-1 win. It has since been claimed he taunted the Brighton players about pay.
The Daily Mail now claim Guendouzi – a £7million (Mirror) signing from French side Lorient in the summer of 2018 – will be offloaded by Arsenal in the coming months, with the recent incidents just a couple of a long list of issues.
Indeed, Guendouzi is believed to have acted poorly during the winter training camp in Dubai – and while Arteta had his back turned during some analysis, Guendouzi is believed to have behaved childishly, even dancing.
The Gunners lack options in the middle of the park, even after extending Dani Ceballos loan until the summer. Injuries to Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira are likely to see Guendouzi continue to start.
But he could be sold this summer and Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Guendouzi could be thrown on the scrapheap by Arteta this summer – and many seem to think it is the right decision.
Be better off giving him the amn treatment for a bit rather than selling him, there's a great player in there somewhere, he just believes his own hype atm that's given him an ego ….. not that I believe the daily fail anyways

I'd be so glad if this is true

If it’s true. Maybe it’s time for a loan? To like Crystal Palace or Southampton. Would be good for his developement

I'd sell him too

Good. He’s unprofessional and lacks vision. You don’t learn that. The club will probably give him a 4 year contract then!
