Arsenal fans react as Miguel Azeez shines for U18s

Arsenal fans have been reacting to the latest performance of Miguel Azeez for the club’s U18s.

The starlet was in action against Brighton, and was on target during a 4-3 FA Youth Cup victory.

Ken Gillard’s side winning means they will now face either Blackburn Rovers or Preston North End in the quarter-finals.

There were a number of promising displays by Arsenal players, with captain Ben Cottrell, striker Sam Greenwood and 16-year-old goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk also standing out.

But it was Azeez who seemed to generate the most buzz from Arsenal supporters on social media once again, with his wonderful volleyed finish impressing many.

Azeez has been making a name for himself as a real talent with excellent footwork in recent times, but against Brighton he also showed a real disciplined side.

It was an all-action, mature performance from the 17-year-old, who will no doubt be knocking on Mikel Arteta’s door next season if he keeps to his current level.

With Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira having both been linked with exits in January, there could be a chance one or both could leave in the summer and a chance may come the England U18 international’s way.
