Arsenal wonderkid Miguel Azeez produced a last-gasp stunner to earn England U18s a draw.
In Pinatar, England and Norway’s U18 teams clashed and the goals were flowing. Thanks to Azeez’s last-minute wonder goal, the game ended in a 4-4 draw.
Norway went 2-0 up in the first half with goals coming from Mathias Sundberg and Trgve Aarstad. James McAtee then equalised just before the break for the young Lions.
The Norwegians extended their lead shortly after the break – through Hermann Geelmuyden. Manchester City youngster McAtee then doubled his tally to bring it back to 3-2.
Arsenal’s Sam Greenwood, on as a substitute, made it 3-3 with just five minutes remaining. But Geelmuyden scored again to surely seal the win for Norway on the Spanish coast.
Azeez, however, had other ideas. The 17-year-old picked the ball up on the left flank and sent a powerful 25-yard shot into the top corner five minutes into stoppage time.
After the game, Azeez posted this clip on Twitter with the caption: “Nice to get a goal for my country yesterday!” Here are some Arsenal fans reacting to this stunning strike.
