Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has emerged as a possible summer transfer target for Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are thinking about swooping for the Switzerland international as an alternative to Ivan Rakitic and Toni Kroos.

Xhaka has had a good season for the Gunners and looks much improved compared to his first couple of campaigns.

He is not yet a crucial first-team player under Emery, but he has made 32 appearances across all competitions and is clearly valued by the Spaniard.

Xhaka is currently sidelined with a groin injury, which has caused him to miss the last two Premier League games and the Europa League quarter-final first leg with Napoli.

He is not expected to be out for much longer, and many Arsenal fans will be pleased about his return when it comes.
