Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is being linked with a possible exit ahead of the January transfer window – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they should do their best to offload him.
According to Eurosport, the 28-year-old’s future at the Emirates Stadium has been cast into doubt due to the fact he doesn’t quite seem to fit into the plans of manager Mikel Arteta.
The report picks him out as one name that could possibly leave in January, as “serious offers” for him would be considered by the Gunners.
Xhaka has made 189 appearances for the North London club since he joined back in 2016, but has always divided opinion among the fanbase.
The £100,000-a-week star (Spotrac) has played 14 games across all competitions this season and been a fairly regular presence in the centre of the park, albeit the manager has had to contend with injuries in that position.
He is a deep-lying playmaker that likes to sit in front of the back four dictating possession and breaking up play, but he isn’t blessed with great pace and his form can be a little inconsistent.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media would like to see the back of Xhaka and reports suggest that could be possible.
It’s unclear on what they value the Switzerland international at, but they signed him for £35million (BBC) from Borussia Monchengladbach.
