Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly battling Arsenal and numerous other Premier League clubs to sign Martin Odegaard in the upcoming summer window, with his asking price rocketing since moving to England – and Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter.

Odegaard, 22, has impressed since joining Arsenal on a dry loan from Real Madrid. Clocking up 12 appearances for Arsenal, he is improving with every performance and has scored important goals in the Europa League against Olympiacos, and rivals Spurs.

However, the Daily Star has played down Arsenal’s chance of keeping the Norway international. Indeed, it is claimed that any interested parties would have to spend a whopping £50million to sign Odegaard permanently in the coming weeks and months.

The report also claims Arsenal are not the only club interested. Real Madrid are considering whether to give him another chance in the first team, while Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG are all said to be interested in signing Odegaard in the coming weeks.

Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Pochettino – a Tottenham icon – wants to lure Odegaard to France for the first time in his career and add him to what is already a star-studded PSG side. Certainly, PSG have more financial power.
