Arsenal fans react as links with Celtic star Odsonne Edouard emerge
Arsenal are likely to be in the market for a new striker during the summer and this week The Telegraph linked the club with a move for Celtic talisman Odsonne Edouard.
The Hoops ace has scored 20 times this season and could be available for as little as £20 million during the transfer window.
Arsenal have Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah entering the final year of their contracts in the summer and a new striker is likely to be sought.
Edouard has been a revelation since arriving at Parkhead in 2018. He has found the net 81 times in 163 appearances, registering 36 assists in the process.
Arsenal are thought to be facing competition from Leicester to secure the services of Edouard. Brendan Rodgers took the Frenchman to Celtic during his time in charge of the Scottish giants.
Following news of the links to the Hoops striker, Arsenal supporters have been reacting on Twitter – and it’s fair to say they’re relatively happy with the link.
Here is what they have been on saying regarding the possibility of the club landing the French under-21 star.
That’s an absolute bargain. I would LOVE to get him. Sell Laca and Eddie to have Edouard, Auba, Balogun (and Martinelli) just sounds so appealing to me

They need to make it happen because they’ll never find a better bargain deal with a quality player than this one.

Total bargain at that price. I think last year of his contract otherwise Celtic would hold out for much more.

Very cheap deal considering his age. Hopefully Laca & Auba both leave somehow. Edouard/Balogun/Martinelli for CF. Splash the rest on a LW https://t.co/10dNfFaDlA
