A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror this week suggesting Leeds United are monitoring Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Maitland-Niles’s future looks to be up in the air heading into the summer. He has impressed during his time on loan at West Brom.
However, it remains to be seen if he has done enough to catch Mikel Arteta’s eye ahead of next season.
It does appear that they will not struggle to attract interest should they decide to let him go. According to the Daily Mirror, the likes of Leeds, Crystal Palace and Monaco are all monitoring the 23-year-old.
And it appears that some Arsenal fans are wary of seeing him go to Leeds. Several suggested that he could be a fantastic player should he get the chance to play under Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.
Leeds need a new left-back and central midfielder this summer. And Maitland-Niles – who earns £35,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is obviously a player who can feature in both roles – even if he would rather be used sparingly in the back line.
Other supporters are much more open to the idea of him leaving. A fee of around £25 million seems to be what some of the fans would be happy with.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Arsenal fans have reacted to the Leeds links with Maitland-Niles…

Another year loan to crystal palace, a better suit for him compare to leeds, and he’s a big talent, we don’t need to sell him

For his own good, let him go.
