Arsenal defeated MK Dons 4-1 during their first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2020/21 campaign. Goals from Mohamed Elneny, Eddie Nketiah, Mark McGuinness and a Reiss Nelson penalty ensured a routine win.

Plenty of players got some minutes into the legs as Arsenal prepare to face Liverpool in the Community Shield on Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

Following the game, supporters were reacting on Twitter and some footage of left-back Kieran Tierney really caught their eye.

The 23-year-old signed for the Gunners for £20 million (Goal) last summer and is already looking like a shrewd piece of business given his relatively small price tag.

He managed 24 outings in all competitions during 2019/20, despite picking up a shoulder injury that meant he missed a large chunk of the action.

Tierney looks like being an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s team going forwards and next season could be another big campaign for the youngster.

Some footage of the £75,000-a-week Tierney bombing forward really got Arsenal supporters excited and he’s quickly becoming a fan favourite at the Emirates.

Here is a selection of Tweets from the Gunners faithful in response to some eyecatching play from Tierney in the club’s latest pre-season fixture.
