Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng this summer and the experienced German starred for his side on Tuesday evening – and many Gunners supporters have reacted on Twitter.
In what was a crucial Der Klassiker to determine the outcome of this season’s Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund welcomed Bayern to a behind-closed-doors Westfalenstadion. But it was just one goal that determined the outcome of the clash.
Indeed, Joshua Kimmich’s glorious chip saw Bayern run out 1-0 winners over Lucien Favre’s side – almost seeing Bayern place another hand on the Bundesliga trophy. With six league games to play, Bayern are now seven points clear of Dortmund.
World Cup and Champions League winner Boateng, 31, has been crucial to Bayern’s side since the return to Bundesliga action – and was in stunning form on Tuesday night, despite facing the likes of Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Thorgan Hazard.
All three were kept quiet throughout as Boateng’s experience paid dividends. The Daily Mail claim both Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in the former Manchester City defender, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2021.
Arsenal fans watched on as Bayern edged closer to another Bundesliga title and many Gunners fans were impressed with the 76-time Germany international’s performance – with some even stating he would be a good signing for Arsenal.

I never understood the Boateng slander when he was linked with Arsenal, he’s still extremely solid in my eyes?

Thought Jerome Boateng was absolutely exceptional today. His reflex save to keep out Haaland was like seeing glimpses of Wojciech Szczęsny
