James Maddison is enjoying a solid season with Leicester City but a tweet on Monday afternoon has called for Arsenal fans for their club to sign him.
The 23-year-old has scored nine goals and registered three assists for the Foxes and has the potential to go all the way to the top.
Maddison has one cap for the England team and he could earn a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2020.
Maddison has lifted the spirits of Arsenal fans this afternoon, however, by commenting on a retro video posted by the club.

The tweet in question showed Dennis Bergkamp’s famous goal where he pirouetted around Newcastle defender Nikos Dabizas to score one of the Premier League’s greatest ever goals.
Maddison tweets to state his bemusement that people still claim he didn’t mean it.
It’s clear he’s a massive fan and now Arsenal supporters cheekily want their club to declare their interest in the £55,000-a-week playmaker.
Following Maddison’s tweet, the Gunners faithful took to Twitter to laud Maddison, with some demanding he is signed this summer.
Here is a selection of tweets from Arsenal supporters in reaction to Maddison’s tweet on the Gunners.
