Arsenal fans react as Jack Wilshere is released from AFC Bournemouth
The former England international joined the club as a free agent earlier this season. The Cherries reached the Championship play-offs, but Jonathan Woodgate’s side were eliminated by Brentford in the semi-finals.
Wilshere remains one of the most beloved Arsenal players in recent years.
The central midfielder came through the club’s academy and made his debut at just 16-years-old, becoming the youngest debutant in the club’s history.
The now 29-year-old was hailed by Wenger as ‘outstanding’ in 2017 via the Mirror. But numerous injuries have derailed what looked to be a promising career for Wilshere.
And today’s news saw the former West Ham midfielder be lavished with good luck messages from Arsenal supporters on social media.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say on Twitter about Wilshere being released by Bournemouth…

Wilshere’s next destination is unknown, however, the Athletic reported in 2019 that the former England star is open to a move to MLS.
