Henrikh Mkhitaryan is working hard to return to full fitness after the Roma loanee suffered an injury in September that has kept him sidelined until now – and Arsenal fans have reacted to his Tweet, which gave an update on his future.
Mkhitaryan, 30, left Arsenal in the summer on a season-long loan from Arsenal after the Gunners brought in Nicolas Pepe from Lille – leaving the former Manchester United ace with little chance of game time under Unai Emery.
Indeed, Emery has preferred to use Arsenal’s younger stars out wide or in attacking midfield. The likes of Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Martinelli have all impressed in the place of Mkhitaryan.
Since leaving Arsenal, Mkhitaryan made a solid start at Roma with a goal and an assist in four appearances for Roma. But since suffering a muscle injury in September, Mkhitaryan has been on the sidelines looking to recover and he posted on Twitter.

The Telegraph claim that Mkhitaryan’s transfer to Arsenal was effectively worth £30million in a deal that saw Alexis Sanchez depart The Emirates for Manchester United. He clocked up 59 appearances for Arsenal, scoring nine and creating 13.
It remains to be seen if the Armenia international has a future at The Emirates – with his £180,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) set to expire in the summer of 2021. Arsenal fans reacted to Mkhitaryan’s Tweet, with some urging his return.
Miss you in Arsenal! Good luck this season.
