Arsenal fans react as Fulham reportedly interested in signing £12m-rated defender

Fulham are reportedly considering a move to re-sign Calum Chambers from Arsenal this summer as Scott Parker looks to build a side capable of avoiding relegation – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.

Chambers, 25, is on the comeback trail after a knee injury he suffered back in December. He has failed to feature for the Gunners in 2020, but is likely to be a part of Mikel Arteta’s plans when he returns to action.

However, The Sun claim Fulham are ready to chance their arm and bring the three-time England international back to Craven Cottage – two seasons after Chambers was handed the Player of the Season award at Fulham in 2017-18.

This time, Parker wants Chambers at Fulham on a permanent basis. It is believed the Gunners want a fee of £12million for Chambers to depart – which is exactly what they paid for the versatile star in 2014.

Though Chambers is likely to be in and around the first team at Arsenal, the likes of William Saliba, David Luiz, Rob Holding and even Shkodran Mustafi may be considered about Chambers in the pecking order.

Arsenal supporters reacted to the reported news that Fulham are interested in signing Chambers and will have to spend £12million to get him – and it appears the majority of Arsenal fans would take such a fee for the defender.
