Arsenal talent Folarin Balogun was forced off yesterday as the England under-21s lost 3-2 to Georgia.
The youngster was withdrawn during the first half after he was unable to shake off a ferocious challenge.
Balogun was hoping to make his mark during the contest after finding first-team football hard to come by.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta handed him a new contract towards the end of last season, although he’s barely played.

Instead, he has continued to learn his trade in the under-23 ranks and that has surprised some people.
The 20-year-old does look to have outgrown youth football and perhaps a loan would be ideal for January.
He has scored 10 goals in eight matches for the under-23s this season and looks ready to make the step up.
With Arsenal in strong form under Arteta, it seems unlikely, however, that he’ll get a chance any time soon.
Of course, given his latest injury that might be taken out of his hands anyway.
Balogun will now head back to Arsenal for further treatment and the club will hope it isn’t too bad.
The Gunners face a real acid test at the weekend when they face Liverpool in the late game on Saturday.
Balogun offers Arsenal a real blow
This is not ideal for Arsenal by any means. Although he’s really been handed a chance this season, Arteta does rate him pretty highly.
The Gunners aren’t blessed with lots of strikers and an injury to a first-team player could leave them struggling.

Arsenal have turned a corner in recent weeks and they’ll hope to keep their main men fit.
The hope among supporters is that Balogun can be back competing for a place in the near future and they’ve taken to Twitter to discuss this latest blow.
