Arsenal fans react as Emile Smith Rowe is linked with Premier League
Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe is reportedly a target for Premier League rivals Aston Villa. However, some Gunners fans on Twitter claim their player won’t be leaving.
The Telegraph reports Villa are targeting an ambitious move for the 20-year-old.
It is explained that Villa are on the search for a creator, and are looking at the Arsenal youngster given the fact that he’s yet to sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Smith Rowe, who is a product of the Gunners academy, is now an important player at the north London club.
Deservedly, he made 33 senior appearances across all competitions this season.
The English attacking midfielder ended up with four goals and seven assists, but that only tells half the story.
It was a difficult campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side, but he was always a shining light for them along with fellow academy graduate Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal would have riot on their hands if Smith Rowe
Smith Rowe surely won’t be exiting the Emirates Stadium.
For Arsenal, they need to build around the talented young players they’ve got with some strong additions to the squad.
Smith Rowe is a creative playmaker who’s proven he can impress on the top stage, and his potential is frightening.
The Gunners need to secure his long-term future because he can be part of an encouraging side going forward.
He prefers to play in pockets of space in the number 10 position, but has the speed and technique to drift into wide areas too.
