Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is a target for Watford this summer, with the Hornets among a host of clubs vying for his signature.

The newly-promoted Premier League outfit are keen to bolster their attacking arsenal. Nketiah has been identified as their latest option in attack, as per the Daily Mail.

Arsenal are keen to reshuffle their ranks this season. Last season they finished eighth and that simply won’t do during 2020/21.

The Gunners need a complete overhaul. As a result, it’s unlikely Nketiah will remain at Arsenal for much longer.

Arteta could also lose Alexandre Lacazette this summer, as the Frenchman as just a year left on his current deal.

With that in mind, Arsenal’s attack could look completely different next season. With Nketiah and Lacazette gone, there will be room to enter the transfer market.

Nketiah struggled during 2020/21. He was used sparingly by Arteta, scoring just six times in all competitions and is valued at £15 million.

He hasn’t ever really impressed the Spaniard sufficiently in order to give him a regular run in the team.

The England under-21 all-time top goalscorer does seemingly have a bright future. At 22, he has bags of time on his side, despite the fact he’s scored just 13 goals in 65 appearances for Arsenal.

Arsenal fans would welcome Nketiah departure

Some Gunners supporters clearly value the fact that he’s from the Hale End academy. It’s clear that not too many fans are keen for him to stay, however.

Arsenal will want to bring players in this summer, but to do that some may have to leave.

As a result, some believe that Nketiah is the ideal player to let leave the club during the current transfer window.

Given his age, it seems important that he plays regular football and it seems he as no chance of doing that at the Emirates Stadium.
