Arsenal fans react as Dominik Szoboszlai stars for RedBull Salzburg on Wednesday night

Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to watch Dominik Szoboszlai during Wednesday night’s Champions League clash between Liverpool and RedBull Salzburg – and Gunners fans are desperate for their club to sign him.

The Daily Mail claim Szoboszlai has caught the attention of Arsenal, interesting the north London side during the summer. In 29 appearances last season, the 18-year-old scored 11 goals and created 10 more – some of which were for FC Liefering.

Despite his tender age, the tricky winger has already clocked up five appearances for Hungary’s national side and scored in a European qualifier against Slovakia. Wednesday’s printed edition of The Sun, page 52, claims he is worth £15million.

However, Arsenal are not alone in their pursuit of the winger. The report claims a number of Italian sides including Lazio, Inter Milan and Juventus are ahead of the Gunners in solidifying their interest – but Arsenal are willing to play catch up.

Some reports have also claimed that Liverpool want to sign Szoboszlai despite the player having three years left to run on his contract at the Austrian club. He lasted 71 minutes in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool.

Arsenal fans watched on during what was a topsy-turvy game, as Liverpool surrendered a 3-0 lead by concesinf three goals themselves. However, Mo Salah notched a winner to make it 4-3. Arsenal fans were impressed by Szoboszlai, and want him signed.
