Arsenal fans have been reacting to a claim that Mitchel Bergkamp – son of Arsenal Invincible Dennis – is currently on trial with the club’s U23s.
According to Goal, the midfielder is at London Colney at the moment hoping to impress Steve Bould and his staff.
Bergkamp jr recently became a free agent after leaving Almere City after coming up through their youth ranks.
It is understood the 22-year-old has been watched for the past couple of days.
It’s been all change at U23 level for Arsenal this summer, with many youngsters heading out on loan and several new starlets coming in.
Arsenal’s current crop of young guns don’t have a huge amount of experience, with Bould fielding several players against Manchester United last weekend that have represented the first-team in recent times, such as Reiss Nelson, Cedric Soares and Joe Willock.
Mitchel – who grew up in London – has never played at the top level in his homeland but, at the age of 22, has been around a fair while.

He actually accompanied his dad for his testimonial game back in 2006 – which was the first game at the Emirates Stadium.
Some Arsenal fans were understandably excited on social media upon hearing about Mitchel’s trial with Arsenal, with many dreaming that he could potentially be even a fraction as good as Dutch legend Dennis, who is undoubtedly one of the club’s greatest ever players:
