Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell Lucas Torreira this summer for a figure in the region of £15million as he struggles to rediscover his best form at Atletico Madrid – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter to the reported price tag.

Torreira, 25, was signed for £26million in the summer of 2018 from Sampdoria after an excellent campaign at the 2018 World Cup with Uruguay. In his first two seasons at Arsenal, he clocked up an impressive 89 appearances in all competitions.

But with Mo Elneny returning from Besiktas, Thomas Partey being signed and Dani Ceballos returning for another season-long loan, Torreira was ushered out of The Emirates – and Atletico chose to land the midfielder on loan for the 2020-21 season.

However, he has since managed just five starts in all competitions. ESPN claim that the North London club are now ready to sell Torreira for a fee of £15million – meaning they are willing to take a hit on the box-to-box star of a whopping £11million.

Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Torreira could be sold somewhat on the cheap side and many believe that the Gunners could bring in more cash for the South American. One fan posted on Twitter that “Dom Solanke cost more”.
