Arsenal have reportedly been told by AC Milan that they can only sign Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie this summer if they are willing to include Lucas Torreira in a straight swap – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.
Italian outlet MilanNews24 have claimed that Arsenal asked Milan about 23-year-old Kessie, who has already clocked up 121 appearances in all competitions for Milan – and 39 Ivory Coast caps – is a target for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta is likely to be in the market for a new central midfielder this summer, with Dani Ceballos expected to return to Real Madrid after his loan. Granit Xhaka has had his troubles with the fans and Matteo Guendouzi has been poor this term.

Arsenal have been linked with Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey, as well as Olympiacos star Mady Camara. Partey remains first choice for Mikel Arteta though, with his release clause currently standing at a decent figure of just £43.6million.
However, Arsenal have asked about former Atalanta midfielder Kessie, but Milan responded by stating they would only wave goodbye to the Ivory Coast star if Uruguay international Torreira is included in a straight swap.
Arsenal supporters responded to the possibility of a swap deal between Torreira and Kessie. Many feel Kessie would be a good signing for the Gunners, and are happy to lose Torreira.
