Arsenal fans react as club reportedly offered swap deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Real Madrid have reportedly entered the race to sign Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of the summer window, and are set to offer The Gunners a swap deal – and Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Aubameyang, 30, has continued his stunning form in front of goal this season – scoring 20 goals in 32 league and cup appearances for the Gunners. That is despite Arsenal’s inconsistent form, and a change in manager.

However, Aubameyang – who was appointed captain of the Gunners midway through the season – has just over 12 months on his contract left to run. It has seen a whole host of European heavyweights become interested in Aubameyang’s signature.

The Mail claims Manchester United want to secure a Robin van Persie-like deal for Aubameyang, while the report also states Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are interested. 90Min have also reported that Chelsea and Liverpool are interested.

However, the latest report claims Real Madrid have entered the race. According to Spanish outlet Diario Madridista, Real have made contact to propose a swap deal for Aubameyang – including Gunners loanee Dani Ceballos in a deal.

The Mirror have reported that Real value Ceballos at £36million but it is believed that he could now be included in a deal for Aubameyang. Gunners fans have responded to such a move on Twitter.
