Arsenal fans have been giving their takes on reports an approach for Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson has been made.

Le10 Sport have claimed the Gunners are in for the 25-year-old French midfielder, with Marseille ready to cash in on one of their top players to alleviate financial concerns.

Sanson has been with the Ligue 1 side since 2017 and has already made 138 appearances for the club.

No concrete offer has yet been made by Arsenal, with Le10 stating the north Londoners are just monitoring the situation at the moment.

Arsenal are seemingly in the market for a new midfielder, with Lucas Torreira again being linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Matteo Guendouzi’s future at the club also appears to be in some doubt – the 21-year-old hasn’t featured for Arsenal since his altercation with Neal Maupay after the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in June.

Sanson has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, and has two years remaining on his contract.

French publication Le Phoceen reported last month that Marseille valued him at around £32 million but, with the club in need of cash, they may be forced to sell for less.

Arsenal fans on social media appear to be somewhat divided about the idea of Sanson signing for the club:
