Arsenal are reportedly looking to rival Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign Schalke wonderkid Malick Thiaw after he made his senior debut this month – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter to the reported news.
Thiaw, 18, was handed his Schalke debut on March 7 after shining for the club’s Under-19 side this season. Indeed, the colossal centre-back has clocked up 23 appearances for the Under-19 team – scoring an incredible nine goals from defence.
It saw former Huddersfield manager Wagner opt to hand the defender a substitute appearance during a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim. His incredible progress has attracted suitors from the Premier League.

The Mail have claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all interested in signing 6ft 3in star Thiaw this summer. The report claims Thiaw has a release clause in his current deal, worth a bargain £7million.
All clubs have young, up-and-coming central defenders in their side. Liverpool boast Dutch ace Sepp van der Berg, while Manchester City have handed debuts to Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Eric Garcia. Arsenal have William Saliba to return.
Despite Saliba impressing on loan at St. Etienne, Arsenal fans reacted to the news that their club are reportedly interested in signing Thiaw this summer – but face plenty of competition. Some are intrigued, while others want other players signed.
