Arsenal fans react as club reportedly in five-way battle to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal are reportedly in the midst of a five-way battle in the race to sign Fiorentina talent Dusan Vlahovic this summer, as the Serbian striker continues to shine for La Viola – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter to the reports.

Having played 74 times for Fiorentina already, Serbia international Vlahovic has clocked up 20 goals – but in his initial 44 appearances before the 2020-21 season, he only managed eight goals. But this season, he has 12 in 30.

Those 12 have all come in his 27 Serie A outings, 24 of which he has started. Such form has attracted some of Europe’s biggest football institutions – according to a report from CalcioMercato. One of those is Arsenal, but they face competition from others.

Indeed, the report claims Leipzig, Milan, Roma and Atletico Madrid are all said to be interested in Vlahovic – who notched his second Serbia goal in just his sixth cap last week, scoring in a 3-2 win over Ireland. An exciting talent, then.

Italian site TMW claim that Fiorentina want a fee of £35million for Vlahovic, while the La Viola ace is said to be demanding a wage of just £40,000 a week. Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Arsenal want to sign Vlahovic this summer.
