Arsenal fans react as club reportedly eye Napoli playmaker, on Edu's list
Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Napoli and Poland playmaker Piotr Zielinski, as Edu looks to shake up his options in the final third. A report claims he is on Edu’s list this summer, but he has an enormous release clause. Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to his potential signing.
Zielinski, 27, has just enjoyed arguably his best season in professional football. Starring in the Napoli midfield, the versatile Pole clocked up 23 goal involvements in 47 games for Gennaro Gattuso. Scoring 10, he also created 13. That is, despite playing in numerous different positions.
His form has attracted Arsenal. Zielinski, who has 63 caps with Poland, has been linked with the Premier League in the past – most notably Liverpool. But now, Il Mattino have made the claim, that Zielinski is being eyed by Arsenal. Of course, Emile Smith-Rowe continues to be a target for Villa.
What have Arsenal fans said about Zielinski?
Martin Odegaard is set to return to Real Madrid this summer while the likes of Willian and Nicolas Pepe continually stutter. Mikel Arteta and Edu clearly want another body in there and Zielinski covers all bases. He can play on either flank, as a 10, an eight or even as a second striker.
Arsenal fans reacted to the news on Twitter that Zielinski, who has a £95million release clause (Mirror) could be on his way to Arsenal.
