Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid teenager Cesar Gelabert this summer with Mikel Arteta tracking the midfielder closely – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter to the reported news.
Spanish outlet AS have claimed that Arsenal want to lure the Gelabert to the Emirates in the coming months, with the Spanish youth international struggling to break into the first team under Zinedine Zidane – and it is easy to see why.
Despite his versatility which allows him to play out wide and in attacking midfield, 19-year-old Gelabert finds the likes of Eden Hazard, Isco, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and plenty more ahead of him in the pecking order.

Real Madrid are also hardly known for their faith in youth, instead looking to spend millions on proven talent from other clubs – hence the nickname, The Galacticos. Fede Valverde is a recent example, but a rare one.
With Gelabert likely to enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer, Arsenal are keen on landing him with Arteta impressed with his UEFA Youth League performances against both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
However, Arsenal face competition for his signature. Indeed, both Borussia Dortmund and Lyon are interested – with both clubs renowned for bringing through young players. Gunners fans have responded on Twitter.
