Arsenal are reportedly interested in raiding Dutch side AZ Alkmaar to sign captain Teun Koopmeiners this summer and could get him for a cut-price figure of just £12million – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.

Koopmeiners, 22, has caught the attention of plenty of admirers ahead of the summer window after a stunning 2019-20 campaign in which he starred for AZ as skipper despite his tender age – domestically and in Europe.

A regular in the Netherlands Under-21 side, Koopmeiners is yet to receive his first full cap but has scored an impressive 16 goals in 42 games from holding midfield this season – though he is the club’s penalty taker.

AZ Alkmaar Fan Page have claimed that sources have informed them that Arsenal are interested in luring the young goalscoring midfielder to the Emirates. The Sun, meanwhile, claim Everton are eyeing a £12million move.

The Gunners are likely to be after central midfielders this summer with Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi linked with moves elsewhere, while Dani Ceballos remains only on loan from Real Madrid.

Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that their club are reportedly interested in signing Koopmeiners this summer, and many believe he could be a good signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
