Arsenal fans react as club reportedly after Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico this summer in order to push Bukayo Saka into his favoured left-wing position – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter, by suggesting Sead Kolasinac will be sold.

The Sun claim Arsenal want to bring 27-year-old Tagliafico to the Emirates this summer after another excellent campaign with the Dutch outfit, having a hand in 12 goals this season from the left side of defence – scoring five and creating seven.

The report states Arsenal have targeted the Argentina international in order to allow Saka to move up the pitch to the left flank. Tagliafico is valued at around £20million and has been linked with Arsenal for some time – with Unai Emery keen last summer.

However, Arsenal boast last summer signing Kieran Tierney at left-back, who was bought for a whopping £25million and has endured a number of injuries since his move from Celtic – the latest a dislocated shoulder.

Kolasinac, 26, has also suffered a number of injuries this season and it remains to be seen who Mikel Arteta would pick if both players were 100% fit. The fact is, though, that Arsenal spent a lot of money on Tierney – and nothing on Kolasinac.

Indeed, Tierney is also four years younger. If the Gunners are to sign Tagliafico, the likelihood is that they would have to sell either Kolasinac or Tierney – and Gunners fans think former Schalke defender Kolasinac could be sold.
