Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu though reports that The Gunners had sent scouts to watch the defender are wide of the mark – and Arsenal fans are hoping their club can sign the Turkish star.
Soyuncu, 23, starred for Turkey on Thursday as he helped them secure their passage to the Euro 2020 finals next summer with a 0-0 draw against Iceland. He partnered Juventus defender Merih Demiral, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
The Leicester defender has been on fire this season, after finally getting a proper chance with The Foxes at the start of the season following the sale of Harry Maguire. The season prior, Soyuncu managed just eight appearances.

But this time around, the £19million signing from Freiburg (Times), has started and finished all 12 of Leicester’s Premier League matches – forming a formidable partnership with Jonny Evans. Leicester currently sit second in the table.
Turkish Football have claimed that reports of Arsenal scouts watching the Leicester star on Thursday night are misplaced, but that both Arsenal and Manchester City have been scouting the defender in England. City have approached Soyuncu’s agent.
Arsenal fans reacted to the reported news that their club were interested in signing the Leicester powerhouse, and many Gunners supporters have urged Unai Emery to get a deal done in the January transfer window.
