Arsenal are reportedly rivalling Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of Rennes 16-year-old Noah Francoise ahead of the summer window – and Gunners supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news.

Francoise is just another example of Rennes’ excellent youth academy which also produced 17-year-old Eduardo Camavinga, a player that has been linked with some of Europe’s best sides after breaking into the senior team.

Francoise is yet to make a senior appearance for Rennes, but that has not stopped Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla’s talent spotters eyeing the midfielder. He has played eight times for France’s Under-16 side, captaining them three times.

He has also impressed for Rennes’s Under-18 side in the UEFA Youth League, even scoring in a penalty shootout win over Club Brugge. But his future at Rennes is now in doubt.

That is because French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed that Francoise is yet to sign professional terms with the Ligue 1 side, and he is stalling on putting pen to paper with Rennes – in order to explore his opportunities.

Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that the north London side are keen on the young midfielder, and it has been met with a largely mixed response. Some are all for it, while others are frustrated.
