Laurent Koscielny has refused to go on Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America because he wants to leave the club, according to a statement on the club’s official website.
The club captain returned to training with the rest of the squad earlier this month but apparently doesn’t want to travel.
A club statement said: “Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour. We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions.
“We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time.”

Many Arsenal fans swiftly took to Twitter in response to the news and the consensus was that the club captain should not be acting in this way in order to force a move.
Arsenal have been frequently accused of lacking leadership in recent years, but Koscielny has emerged as a strong presence in recent years, battling back from injury last season.
But this seems like a sour way to end his Gunners career and out of keeping with his character and everything the club would want from its captain.
