After eight years at Arsenal, Carl Jenkinson has left the club on a permanent deal. Arsenal have announced that Jenkinson has joined Nottingham Forest, where he signs a three-year deal.
Jenkinson joined Arsenal eight years ago – in 2011 – after leaving Charlton Athletic. During his time with the Gunners, the boyhood fan played 70 games and scored one goal.
He also spent time away from Arsenal on loan. His first spell at West Ham United was successful and he played 36 times for the East London outfit. This convinced West Ham to sign him again the following year but injury cut short his stay after just 23 games.

In the 2017/18 season, Jenkinson had a loan spell with Birmingham City in the Championship. However, this was another injury-hit campaign and he played just nine times.
During his final season in North London, the 27-year-old played eight games, including three in the Premier League. But he is now leaving for the sake of his career after living the dream with the club he supported as a boy.
Here are some tweets from Arsenal fans who wished Jenkinson well for the future.
