Arsenal defeated Everton 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium yesterday evening, with Gunners youngster Bukayo Saka continuing his fine run of form.

The 18-year-old was actually left out of the starting eleven by Mikel Arteta. An early injury to Saed Kolasinac forced him into action, however.

It wasn’t long before he was involved again either. He claimed his second Premier League assist in succession, with a delightful ball for Eddie Nketiah to equalise.

Saka has now contributed nine assists for the Gunners in all competitions and the future looks very bright for the teenager.

Typically a winger, Saka has looked tremendous at left-back for Arsenal. His ability to bomb forward and the fact he isn’t afraid to stick a challenge in has made him seemingly tailor-made for the defensive role.

It’s not beyond the realms of reality that Gareth Southgate will call-up Saka. Left-back has proved problematic for England in the past and right now the Arsenal man is playing superbly.

Following yesterday’s result, the youngster took to Twitter. He was clearly buzzing about the win – and another assist.

Arsenal supporters can’t stop raving about the form of Saka and after his tweet, they responded to his message.
