Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles is reportedly a target for Brighton & Hove Albion this summer as the England youth international remains on the fringes at The Emirates – and Gunners supporters have responded.
Maitland-Niles, 22, has clocked up 30 appearances for Arsenal in numerous positions – operating at right-back, right wing, central midfield and even on the left flank last time out as the Gunners beat Manchester City.
However, he is unable to play regularly in his natural position of midfield – with the likes of Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira considered first choice. A move, then, could be on the cards.

The Evening Standard claim Graham Potter’s Brighton, who beat Arsenal after the restart, are keen to take him to the south coast this summer. Brighton secured their place in next season’s Premier League on Monday night.
Though he would only get the odd game at Arsenal, it is believed that Maitland-Niles would be first choice in Graham Potter’s side – who was manager of Swedish side Ostersunds when the minnows faced Arsenal in the Europa League.
Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter to the reports that their midfielder was a target for Maitland-Niles and many are happy for the Gunners product to depart in the coming months.
Some fans suggested using Maitland-Niles as part-exchange for Lewis Dunk – who is rated at £50million (Sun).
